2022 Wandering Wyoming Recap
Western Wyoming and a bit of Eastern Idaho and Western Montana.

A new adventure for 2022, Wandering Wyoming Day 1 started off in the afternoon on the only Jeep Badge of Honor trail in Wyoming, the Monument Ridge trail. From there we visited Granite Creek and Granite Falls, before a little dip in the Granite Hot Springs Swimming Pool. After that we set up camp and had a meal of the most delicious sloppy joes.
Day 2 of the Wandering Wyoming adventure began with some awesome breakfast burritos, then it was off to Grand Teton National Park, where we hit some trails around Shadow Mountain. We stopped for lunch near the Tetons and hit more trails near the Gros Ventre Wilderness before getting to camp on the beach at Grassy Lake Reservoir. We enjoyed a fabulous jambalaya for dinner and watched an utterly epic sunset.
The third and last day of the Wandering Wyoming adventure had us waking up to an extremely tasty breakfast hash on the beach, made by participant James. From there we hit the dusty (dusty! So dusty!) back roads into Idaho to make our way over to Lower Mesa Falls and then Upper Mesa Falls, where the rainbow was amazing. We also visited the historic Big Falls Inn. After that we meandered over to Montana to visit Earthquake Lake, where on August 17, 1959 a surprise big earthquake sadly killed 28 campers in a huge landslide while at the same time forming the lake. After that it was on to camp, where James cooked up another fantastic meal!
